Our features give you full control of your excavated materials

You log – RockExchange delivers
When all materials transport is logged, RockExchange can take care of the rest!
The system gives you the reports and calculations the project requires, and makes sure you meet the reporting requirements with minimal extra resources.
Tracking of materials transport and calculation of CO₂ emissions
100% of the excavated materials are tracked and logged, whether they are reused on site, transferred internally or exchanged with a third party.
Every transport load is logged and forms the basis for automatic calculation of CO₂ emissions.
Data flow to the DFØ framework
The template for materials transport from DFØ, the Norwegian Agency for Public and Financial Management, is a standardised tool for calculating and documenting the handling of excavated materials in public tenders.
All relevant data in RockExchange can be transferred automatically to the template DFØ recommends, ready to be submitted with the tender.
Calculation of CO₂ savings
RockExchange lets you enter alternative (longer) destinations and compare them with shorter routes achieved through smart planning and good agreements. Our integrated climate calculator shows how much CO₂ you save by reducing transport, to the benefit of both the environment and the economy.
Integration with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and NVDB gives fast and accurate calculation of transport legs and emissions.
Follow-up of materials transport in the contract
When all transport is logged continuously, both client and contractor can at any time retrieve reports showing the status of materials transport in the project – including actual materials transport compared with the project budget.
Reports for climate accounting
Generate reports for your organisation’s climate accounting, including details of listings, transactions and transport loads.
Map view of projects and materials
An interactive map gives you an overview of projects, locations, and supply and demand – both for your own projects and, where relevant, external projects.
Filter by type, location, quality, volume and more to find materials that suit your needs.
Identify reuse opportunities in the region
Use the RockExchange marketplace or other available platforms to show supply of and demand for excavated materials in the region.
With materials budgets from RockExchange you can advertise the project’s needs and surplus early in the project phase, so that reuse agreements can be made at the planning stage.
Standardised calculation basis
RockExchange is adapted to the Norwegian market, and calculations follow national standards such as SteinLCA and HBEFA.
This ensures that data from RockExchange can be used in life-cycle assessments and other internal systems without any conversion.
Data from NGU and the Norwegian Environment Agency
RockExchange retrieves information from the databases of NGU (the Geological Survey of Norway) to give valuable details about where the materials originally came from, in line with the aim of providing as much documentation as possible as early as possible.
Dashboards and reporting
RockExchange gives access to data that opens up new opportunities for insight and learning.
The data is available as reports and through an API, and can be exported by region, party or type of material.
Storage of documentation
All the documentation you need, such as self-declaration forms, MWD, EPD and laboratory reports, can be stored in RockExchange.
The documentation follows the materials in the system and is always available to both supplier and recipient.
Integrations with other systems
RockExchange can be integrated with other IT systems, so that data can be retrieved from and transferred to other sources.
This creates value for users through interaction with other reporting tools and electronic trip logs.

A user-friendly tool for:
The project manager
The construction site
The haulier
We work to make our tool functional, user-friendly and useful for both client and contractor.
